Hey all! Long-time lurker- apologies if there's a better thread for this:

I have been looking for a New Limited Nightshade in MGM since October and the only one I could find in the Seattle area was at Toyota of Lake City. They wouldn't discuss pricing over phone, but made it obvious there's significant markup. After speaking with a rep at Michael's Toyota of Bellevue, I was told they could get the same truck from another dealer and that it would be avail the following week, so I went in and left my deposit (also had my credit run- my request since I thought it would be there the following week). After waiting and calling over the next few days, I found that they never had that truck and didn't seem able/willing to get it from anywhere else. I've called every dealer in Washington and Portland and been told that it's pretty hard to find this truck (every time one was available online, the dealer would tell me it's pre-sold). Thankfully, one dealer (Beaverton) was helpful and told me about one that was available at Toyota of Vancouver (WA). I was able to leave a deposit on it and am being told it should be ready for delivery around Feb/Mar (no markup). So at this point, I'm either hoping I can find that truck a little sooner or find a 22 TRD Pro (hopefully in MGM) around the same time, but am not holding my breath on either happening. If anyone has recommendations, I'd be super appreciative!

    -Jake

Wait for the Pro!! The Limited is a whole lotta $$ for an SR5 with leather & JBL! My Limited rode like a brick due to the budget suspension, my Pro rides nice & smooth & has every option available. Again the only options in the Limited are leather & JBL.
Your $'s would be better spent on either the Pro or the Offroad, the Limited just isnt worth the absurd money they are asking! Especially if they have a "market adjustment"

Thanks for the suggestion. One issue with waiting is that our current car (Audi Q5) is coming up on a pretty expensive service and I’m hoping to sell/trade before then. I have a couple months until that point, but I also know the market is great right now and am trying to sell it before production ramps back up. I’ll gladly wait an extra month or so for the Pro, but it seems like there’s no way of knowing how long it will take to receive.

I understand the Limited and SR5 share the same suspension, but there are plenty of other features I like with the limited that don’t come with the SR5, not to mention the appearance of the Nightshade is by far my favorite. I don’t need crawl control and to get a Sport or OR with both Premium and Advanced Tech Package, it will cost more. Ultimately, my plan is to trade this Tacoma in for either the next gen 4Runner or Tacoma, depending on our needs when the time comes. Definitely love the Pro and don’t need any of the Off-roading features, but I really like the look and uniqueness of it. That’s probably what draws me to the Limited Nightshade to be honest. Seems like everyone has the SR5, Sport, OR (which is cool with me- I just like being a little different if I can :)).

As of a week ago, there was a pro with no deposit and a 3k markup over msrp at Jim Bagan Toyota without a deposit or reservation on it. Delivery date of early January. However it’s a manual. I passed on it.

I was on a list for a pro and had been waiting since March of this year and was told I was looking at late 2022 early 2023 take ownership day from a local dealer. I ended up changing my search to an offroad as I don’t want to wait another 12 months.

May be better to find another trim with the interior package you want.
