    Hey Guys
I have 268,000 miles on my 08 and always put Full Synthetic Oil since first Oil change. Going to tackle the leaking head gasket project, so I bought OEM gasket kit, new radiator, clutch fan, belt, pulleys, water pump, thermostat, What would need to be replaced as I start the disassemble project? Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Since you are that far in, you might consider changing the VVT Screens.
Since they have 268k on them.

Also, did the gasket kit contain the o-rings for the water pipe under the intake?
    If not, definitely get those.

Other than that, Good luck. :fingerscrossed:
    Keep us posted.

I would do all the timing components (chains, guides, tensioners, and phasers) if they've never been done and your budget allows since you will have most of it off anyway.
I will caution you sometimes high milleage engines will start burning oil after a head job, it doesn't happen all the time but it's something to be aware of.

I bought the complete gasket kit from Toyota and there are a bazillion small gaskets in there. Anyone have a drawing where they all go?
    Thanks

If you are in that far you might as well rebuild the entire motor. Thats what I did,, or at least that's what I paid someone to do..
