I just have a question. If they were the same fitment, why would Fabtech create 2 SKUs, marketing, etc.? Wouldn’t it have. been easier just to make one universal item?

Manufacturers do it all the time. It gives them the ability to track who’s buying what? Ie. It gives them the ability to see if more 2nd or 3rd gen guys are buying. So for example if more 3rd gen guys are buying in general they may choose to lessen the 2nd gen options on their site.

About the ONLY thing could be the taper shape on the upper ball joint shank. I believe 5th gen 4 runners have a different taper shape vs 2nd gen tacoma's and im not sure if that carried over to the 3rd gen tacomas.

A quick parts cross reference on an OEM parts site of a 2nd gen spindle vs 3rd gen spindle will let you know, if they are the same part numbers. This UCA will work without issue.

Im 99% sure the ONLY difference in front suspension parts interchangeability is the LCA which utilizes a bigger rear bolt (like the 5th gen 4 runner / 2nd gen FJ).

Also lol... note their site says 2015-2021.... 2015 is 2nd gen, 2016+ is 3rd.
