Curious if anyone has opened up and done the bhlm on the newer full led housings? I am actually wanting to do this to a set of '21 4R pro housings, but the 4runners.com site doesn't seem to get much traffic and I would assume the components would be close to the same.. I've done one on a set of '17 taco lights, but am more concerned about the newer led versions, components inside etc and getting cooked. Thanks!

I’ve done quite a few. Internals are completely different, but the process to open the lights is virtually the same. If you’ve done ‘17 headlights, you can do these.

Thanks man. I know the previous years had the led running light stuff etc, was more concerned on the projecter assembly itself and those led components fairing in the oven.. On another note, you wouldn't happen to have any info on getting the 4R high beams to work on those bi led setups? I can't find a lick of good info on that through anyone or anywhere. Thanks!

I’m not familiar with the oem led’s on 4Runners, but the Tacoma’s are not projectors, they’re reflective bowls. I bake everything at 280° though and have no issues with anything getting damaged at that temp.
