Tired of the several women in your life roasting you for not having mirrored visors? I sure was so I decided to do something about it! This mod allows you to install a pair of OEM SR5+ visors (not included) on your SR without having to tap any wires and can easily be returned to stock if needed.

Each one is $45 including shipping within the continental US and you can order through this Paypal link. Only one harness required for both left and right visors.

I am fairly new at this but I hope to deliver the same quality and customer satisfaction that other harness makers around here deliver. Each one is tested on my own truck and I have the blown fuses to prove it haha. Also big props to caribe makaira for the diagram and others for answering my noob questions!

 

This mod is rather simple as the hardest part might be sourcing the visors themselves. Check out the original how-to thread (and inspiration for this mod) by user Roll_Terps. The instructions are very well laid out, and steps 3-6 apply in this case as well as the part numbers for the visors.

As for sourcing the sunvisors, I recommend www.car-part.com if you do not want to pay the price for new. Buying used could save you ~$100, just make sure they are in good condition. Part numbers are 74320-04370-B0 (left) and 74310-04140-B0 (right).

Note: my harness has a long and short pair of wires powering the visors. The long wire is for the passenger as it has a longer path to reach the other side. Also I recommend passing the connector up through a small hole above the headliner then down to the bigger open hole. Be careful though, some of the metal in there is sharp and can damage the wires as you can tell from my images below.

Very Nice! I know that those 040 connectors aren't easy to source, so great job. A really good value considering what goes into these. Hell, I would buy a set myself if I didn't already go through with making mine
I can tell some thought went into them. The twisted pair set up is easier to pull over the headliner as opposed to a "wrapped" set, your tee is long enough to tuck out of the way, just looks really well thought out. Sorry, don't mean to be the crimping critic, but just wanted to say nice work!

 

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it, it means a lot coming from you. The visors themselves can be expensive enough as is though, why add onto that too much if I don't need to ya know. And it definitely took some trial and error, and then some but I'm for sure proud of these considering I'm completely new to this all haha

On a separate note, I have made an all black limited edition version of the harness! Same thing really but if you want to help my profit margins or are scared of the color pink then this is for you haha. It is priced to what I will end up charging after the first batch of harnesses sells out.

Today I learned that the little clip doohickey with the arrows on it can be used as a money clip. Mind blown.

Also: Just ordered a couple sun visors from a junkyard for the girlfriend's SR. Will be back with DM inbound if she decides she wants the lights hooked up.
