Who wants to bet that the brakes had not:

A.) Been upgraded (big brake kit)
B.) Was still on OE brake pads/ shoes with a bunch of miles on them

I was thinking maybe overstretched lines or not shifting down to keep the brakes from cooking. I'm glad everyone was ok.

Spend that much on an LT kit and dont spring for longer rear brake lines? the fronts are always an argument

That could have been very bad. I won’t jump to conclusions, but bigger brakes are a good investment for any that haven’t upgraded yet. Glad everyone walked away.

I'm curious too. Pure speculation, but some recent posts about brake failure:

This 16 had a failure on one of one of the calipers
This 18 was caused by the OE Fuse Block Bracket shorting out the brake booster wire

:notsure: Can someone read through the comments, please? To see what caused the failure? I'm locked out (no FB).

Damn, quite the story. Hard to believe that truck rolled too, very minimal damage looking at those pics (all things considered)

Id be curious to know if the driver tried to use the handbrake or at least downshift during brake failure..

Insane! Wonder if it was overstretched brake lines. Lots of folks overlook that after a lift
