Need brains, diagnosing supercharged 1GR-FE issue

    The Tacoma uses a Low/High speed system. Low is run through the resistor located in front of the battery.

    Ah yes, that was a piece of information that was lacking when I was trying to diagnose. The pump was running but apparently at a reduced flow rate for the electricity input and so the higher flow stage resolved that. I couldn't work out why the splutter kept happening at the same rpm range.
    Have driven vehicle and its all nice now.
    Thanks to all who gave me some input. This forum and members have been excellent.
