I've made several of these for guys running a LC200 rack in their RCLT Kits. Now that running a LC200 rack is growing in popularity, especially among FJs and 4Runners, I've been getting requests for more and more.

    First batch made:

Depending on what kit you have, I've been getting feedback that the stock inner tierods will bottom out. With the clevis, this is eliminated.

Once you have the clevis, you can then run a chromoly rod from inner heim to outer heim.

Very cool, price? What is being done for boots? Have any feedback on running the LC rack with stock length arms?

So right now I’ll be honest, they are a tad spendy. Currently selling for $350. What I’m doing is buying Tacoma Clevis’, then modifying them (making a new bolt / opening the bore) and making all the sizes that the big companies are not.

For boots, I just bought new OEM boots and used them. I have inner clevis’ and chromoly rods on my personal truck as well.

So far, no feedback on stock length arms. Everyone that has reached out to me has a LT kit on their truck.

    Interesting. I noticed it's a mod for FJ's and 4runner but what about 1st gen Tacoma's?

I honestly wouldn’t know. So far, I’m aware on 2ndGen Tacoma, FJs, and 4Runners only who have done it. I’m sure it could be done with a knowledgeable fabricator/installer.

All those are front steer vehicles - unfortunately not going to work with 1st gens without removing a lot of stuff up front.

Where are you seeing this mod being done on more 4runners and FJCs? I'm certain Big Mike is running an LC200 rack in his Tacoma.

Curious what the dimensions are of the LC rack compared to all the other Toyota racks. I know the Tundra rack has to get chopped down quite a bit more to fit in a Taco but what would be nice is to compile a list of all the different racks and dimensions so people can make an informed decision on which one to run for their vehicle.

Of the ten sets I've sold, 8 have been either 4runners or FJs. There is currently a 5thGen 4Runner at Stellar Built in Sacramento, CA getting a LC200 rack put in with my clevis'.

Yes, he is. I live in Fresno and have seen that truck in person numerous times. I'm good friends with the shop owner (Bryce of Timberline Motorsports in Clovis, CA) who does a lot of work on the Marlin Vehicles. He just had a Tacoma with an RCLT kit there the other day getting the front inner fenders trimmed.

LC200 rack requires no trimming. Yes, the tundra racks need to be trimmed and modified to work. Another good friend of mine, @Basikbiker rebuilds them. (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/modified-tundra-rack-swap-preorder.625844/z) Maybe he can provide the dimensions you want?

Yeah, I completely forgot that 1stGens have the rack located in a different spot. Thanks for mentioning that.

I contacted him but wasn't able to get any dimensions from him. Half tempted to buy a used high mile 4runner rack and LC200 rack and compare. Ideally a heavier duty rack with the same dimension shaft where the inner TREs bolt on would make the bump steer minimal.

"FWIW, here is the info I have been able to gather on OEM racks:

    LC200:
    • Stroke: 6.22"
    • Length between ITREs: 29 7/8
    Tundra:
    • Stroke: 7.81
    • Turns lock to lock: 3.69
    • Length?
    4th gen 4Runner:
    • Stroke: 6.25"
    • Length: 28.5"
    • Turns: 3.06
    2nd Gen Tacoma:
    • Stroke: 6.7"
    • Turns: 3.63
    • Length?
    FJ:
    • Stroke: 5.67"
    • Turns: 2.81
    • Length?

Anyone have the taco or tundra lengths?"

Are these the droids you're looking for?

Oh yes lets complete this list! My curiosity peaks when I see the LC200 rack is 1.43" wider total than the 4th gen 4runner rack. Is that enough to cause bump steer? Or weird handling characteristics?

That’s my research there, I got some of the info from an FJ guy who said it was “weird” feeling on a non-RCLT LT kit, but he got used to it. I will be taking the plunge shortly into this on my 4Runner and stock width, and will be documenting along the way. The extra width is my biggest concern with handling, I figure I can chop it and machine it if I am really unhappy with the handling.
