Anyone ever have their IPhone stop charging at 80%

    I put my phone on the wireless charger at night.
    Every once in awhile, it will stop charging and hold it at 80%
    Most of the time, it charges to 100%.

    It doesn’t seem to always do it. Which is weird?
    My phone is an IPhone 8 if that makes a difference.
    Battery health says 88% what ever that means?

    Well either the phone got too hot, or it intentionally stopped it at 80% to “save the battery” with the new optimized charging feature?
    At least it is “normal”, thank for the info.

    Not an iPhone, but my Android phone also has a "battery optimization" feature that makes it stop charging at 80%. It predicts when you're going to take it off the charger and will top it off to 100% just before that time.
