Tried to mail some stuff with counterfeit stamps

    I went to the post office today to mail a couple boxes and letters. I was told at the counter that I cant use these stamps because they are counterfeit. She said it's been in the news reciently.

    I didn't want to argue, and bought 3 more stamps. It's not like it was much money and I assumed the stamps were indeed counterfeit.

    In hindsight, I think the post office messed up. I don't believe they are because my wife says she remembers buying them at that same post office several years ago.

    Try mailing a different letter and seeing a different clerk and see what happens...
