2009 2.7 Prerunner, access cab. I know part of this is a well covered topic. Road Wander. I've read hundreds of posts, had the front end aligned, checked, rechecked, had the steering linkage from inside all the way down, checked a few times, flushed the PS pump. Still have road wander. No play in the wheel. It isn't bad, just slight corrections, OFTEN. (tiring on a long drive)
So i had a thought? is it possible the skid plate may cause an "Uplift" at highway speeds? The truck is a city only vehicle, so I don't need the protection the skid plate offers, thought of taking it off, I am just not sure what other purpose it might serve?
Any thoughts or am i just grasping at nothing but a wild imagination?
    Thank you.

If the skid plate is securely and properly attached, I would suspect there is very little chance it would cause the symptoms described.

Post your latest front end alignment numbers. If your caster is too low it could wander.
