I wouldnt, I equate it to the guys that put those big ass wings on ther cars, like okay we get it. At the end of the day its your truck do what makes you happy, having said that, that doesnt save you from people making jokes.

lol bro i sisnt say they didnt serve a purpose just fiving my opinion, you asked. Seems you already made up your mind lol. Yes snorkels do have a purpose but it depends….just plug and play you get better air when in dusty conditions but doesnt do much for water crossings, you gotta do more than just a snorkel to ceoss deep water w/o doing damage to the vehicle. Wings do have ther purpose if your going fast enough but i live in LA speed limit like 40mph, the wing is big and obnoxious. Which is why I say people make jokes on snorkel folks cus most the time its just gonna be in the city. Its your truck i aint hatin you do you whateber makes you happy, but like i said people fonna be clownin.

Can you light it up with a complimentary color choice?

In this case it appears that matters.

That thing clearly isn’t built for water crossings, hell I don’t even see CVs.

But, whatever puts a smile on your mug OP. Do your thang.

Everyone I know who has a snorkel never needs it as a snorkel, but ends up with massive amounts of dust in their air box. They 10X the dust your engine is consuming, regardless of the “desert air intake” fallacy.

so what’s more foolish, running a snorkel that traps copious amounts of dust, or continuing to run said snorkel even though they trap copious amounts of dust?

Once you put a snorkel on, you’re stuck with it. Unless you want to drive around with a bug hole in your fender, or want to replace the fender and maybe repaint the truck so it matches.

I wouldn't bother with a snorkel if I were you. That lift should keep you well above the atmosphere so no need to worry about any dust.

I would vote no snorkel, but if you are set on one go with either the Air Raid or Sloop Imports one from Inhouse Fab.
