    Anyone mount a 270 awning on an alpha rack?

    I have the 270° Batwing, not mounted yet, but was told I needed three of these to do it right, and so three I purchased.

    https://www.uptopoverland.com/products/straight-up-side-mount

    I think it's gonna look a little funny when mounted over the cab because of the length, but I'm okay with that.

    Over the cab or the bed? I put mine over the cab because I don’t have the Alpha for the bed. Turned out a little odd, but worked fine in the end. I can find pics if you want.

    Mine will be going over the cab. My bed rack is long gone. Pics would be great!

    This is the only good picture I have right now. The 270 goes from passenger side over the hood. I added an extension piece to the other end so it would open up and cover more area.

    Yeah, it’s been all the way up since the beginning. Still rubbed a teeny bit during winter with the snow and ice, so I got the newer feet, made it sit just a tad taller so now it doesn’t touch.

    I was researching the punches listed at the bottom section and discovered a set of them. I wanted to confirm it will be suitable for the task. Note, it does not have a 3/4" or 19mm size but does have a 20mm.

    Sorry for the bad quality pics, I'll take some better ones when I get out at the end of the year. If you guys are unsure about getting any of the racks, I'd say go ahead and pull the trigger and get them. Super fast customer service that answered any and all questions I'd say under 24hrs of email. The product itself is sturdy, well built and solid. No blemishes, no scratches, nothing looked like they skipped any steps. Mounted to the truck with ease. This is a 10/10 product.

    @upTOPoverland

    Pretty disappointed in the fit (and overall design decisions) of the Bravo AAP. Only the rear grab handle holes line up. You're telling me that I have to drill holes for the front grab handle, the fore and aft holes (even though there are holes pre-drilled in the Bravo for all but the foremost one)? On top of that, the front Scene pod holes don't even line up. Lastly, the only AAp instructions you have on the website are for the Prinsu rack, not the Bravo. Not needed, per se, but you support a mod for a competitor's rack better than for your own product? This whole design just has me asking, "why?" Very odd decisions. :crazy:

    For some reason it looks like your AAP is not in the right spot. That is based on this image on their site though:
    upload_2022-1-7_21-29-26.jpg
    It also uses that other hole that you aren't using either.

    I'm going to assume you have an older version of the Bravo, if anything. That's really all I can tell from your photos and theirs.
    Best bet is to write them a support ticket or call them. But hopefully @upTOPoverland can actually ping you back.

    Besides a lightbar and rock lights, what other electronics can be used on these racks? As I plan wiring for the lights, I'm wondering if I should get some wire in place for future stuff now.

    You can mount whatever you want, wherever, and however. If you want chase lights, I would say wire them up.
