It’s a potato pancake type thing. Jewish history. And they are goooood. Now I’m a New Englander at heart but I’ve been to a Yankees game or two. They used to sell them there. Not sure if they still do. Only time(s) I was able to find them.


I other news, I’m beat. Hair cut at 8am, then put the snows on the truck. Followed by driving about 25 miles to a Battery plus store to pick up a couple of specialized batteries for a medical person lift. My BIL came home yesterday from the rehab hospital. Can’t really stand or walk so I found a used Hoyer battery operated patient lift and bought it to help my sister. Needed new batteries. Was over there today getting that running, installing a ramp, etc… Whatever she needs to tend to him.

I knew those as Latke, they were similar to the Placki Ziemniaczane ( Polish potato pancakes ) that I had growing up. We dipped ours in either sour cream or applesauce ( sometimes both...)

 

That does look good! Especially with a touch of ketchup
