I didn't watch the video but yes. If you have water spots, tar, sap or something else on your window you can remove it with wax, rubbing compound or water spot remover. Then rain x your glass and you should be good to go, I probably use it at least a few times every winter. I even use the rain x and wipe it on my wipers to remove some of the old rubber when they become old.

maybe it's a good idea. Water beads off, and wipers slide across the glass. like a canadian hockey player.

I use the method shown in the video occasionally when I have the time. It will give you a very clear windshield.

At night in the rain it will tend to look hazy with the wipers on. At least that's been my experience

As a retired self employed detailer of 30+ years I can tell you its a great idea to coat your windshield. I made sure to coat the not just the windshield but also the headlights, taillights and ALL of the windows.

Wax, hybrid, polymer sealant, ceramic etc doesn't matter. Putting a protectant on your windows goes a long way in repelling dirt which is abrasive and also reduces water spotting.

I will admit wax is my last chioce. Its really not meant for glass but will work if that's what you use on your paint

Wax works well but there are plenty of better products that last longer on glass.

I rain-x the hell out of my windshield every week. Rainx is stupid cheap if you buy it in bulk and it works just as well as most other spray waxes. Just note there is a difference between buff wax and spray wax and they serve a different purpose in detailing.

Theres much better than Rainx out there. Lots are just spray and wipe, Beadmaker is a really good one to put on windows/glass.

I use paint sealant on windshield and also light housing and headlights to keep them from fading and discoloration from UV. Been doing it for over a decade and no fading at all so I keep up with it

With all the rain we get here on the wet coast, I previously used Rain X. I recently tried Chemical Guys Hybrid Ceramic wax. Wow, what a difference! Way better beading, lasts months longer, under the constant swiping of the wipers. The other day after a snow fall, the snow just slid off with little effort. And it was wet, heavy snow too. So yes, I wax my glass. And would recommend it.
