Back Bumpers Allowing One To Step Up Into the Truck Bumper

I love my brand new Tacoma Off-Road. Yet I don't understand how all the news articles state that the Tacoma's are so out-dated? I'm amazed at all the bells and whistles; technology-speaking it has...

But, the two complaints, and yes I know they've been discussed up the wazoo, is lacking of a driver's "oh shit" handle, and then leading to my question, is why in the world would they not include a step of sort to get into the bed of your truck?? Doh!

I've seen the steps you can buy; going into your hitch reciever... But what I'm curious about, would be any aftermarket back Bumpers having something incorporated into the design; allowing one to 'easily' step into the bed of their truck? TIA

It's a great idea, I also wish more fab shops would incorporate steps into their bumpers. Chassis Unlimited in the pic below makes them for all gen Tacomas. (the pic is 1st gen high clearance, but they make ones that are no cut)
