Hopefully finalizing purchase this week, and I've been warned and cautioned many times about the 2nd gen rust issue.

26k miles. 2009 TRD OR. Not a salted roads area truck. Let me know what ya'll think.

That’s super clean just like mine. Mine came from Florida, also purchased my 2nd gen this month. Congrats

If you live in the south I would just leave the frame, if you live up north just Fluid Film it every year. I wouldn’t use any black rubberized undercoating because it’ll actually break down and trap moisture and make everything rust faster.

That looks like a real gem. And I thought my ‘12 with 42k was low miles. Pick that thing up and spray a gallon of fluid film under it and never look back. Great find without having to resort to the turd gen.

Wow, those tires look like they have a lot more than 26k miles on them.

That's super clean and I'm jealous. Especially compared to what my 2009 with 153k looked like when I got mine.

Looks great. The areas on my 09 that rusted are look underneath at the frame after the boxed sections under the doors where the frame is "L" shaped and see if it is defoliating and also the front cab mounts in the front wheel wells. Poke a screwdriver in the weld where the cab mounts meet the main frame and see if it goes thru as rusts internally and often painted over.
