Motorized roll up blinds went in today but they measured the valance wrong so that has to be reordered and installed the 3 white things you see are the battery packs for the motors. Side windows have yet to come in.

Do they run off AA/AAA batteries or something proprietary?

Lithium battery packs supposed to last 5-6 month per full charge we'll see what happens on that, we have 5 in the master bedroom just like the side windows in the L/R and they are cranking away on the original factory charge of 2 months now....

Nice. I've got basic cheap blinds here except in the dining room. Wouldn't mind upgrading at some point. Electric would be nice in the living room, since the windows on either side of the fireplace are like 8 ft tall.

I do have to say they are nice to have as you don't have to get off your ass to open and close the blinds

Started the to-do list for 2022. Stain deck, new front door, replace glass in back doors, figure out a different siding since we are tired of maintaining/painting the Masonite (plus it’s 50 years old)

Is through a remote only, or is there a phone app?

Recently had Graber (costco deal) motorized blinds installed in our front bay window. We only went this direction cuz we have a couch there and manual operation is not an option. The remote lives in the side table and controls the 3 blinds separately or altogether. It also has memory functions so you can raise/lower to specific positions.

Just received a quote for sheet metal ducting. They have open studs everywhere to work, 4 registers in two rooms and one in the bathroom totaling maybe 50ft of duct from air handler $6000. Is this a fair price, in VA ?

I was given a ball park estimate of $3k for all new flex ducting....for the entire 1100 sq ft house.

Id say your quote is high. Im in NC so not too far.
