A while ago. But even my last quote was around 700 for the daily truck so that was like 2-3 years ago.

yeah I knew they'd gone up but wow. Oh well.

I just refreshed mine with skyjackers, works good for me for now.

After 11 month search in multiple states, found a shell for the Xtra-cab. Pulled all the windows/stripped seals/wet sanded shell. Sending out for a repaint, replacing all rubbers/t-handles/gas struts (side windoors/rear hatch).

Anyone needing shell replacement parts, this place carries OEM for Leer and A.R.E, staff knows their stuff. https://www.siraweb.com/

Removed the headliner today so I could pull out the third brake light and run a SiriusXM antenna. Standard cab so really easy job to get the headliner out. Was a good opportunity to clean 21 years of dust and dirt out of some of the areas. I had a Kenwood ddx9905s HU in a car we dont really drive so I moved it to the Tacoma last week to replace a "meh" Kenwood that had been in there. New one blows it away but it is also a lot newer and more expensive. The HD radio on the newer one is nice to have as is wireless Android auto but mostly I wanted it in the Tacoma since the display can be tilted quite a bit so you can actually see the screen, too low in the dash otherwise. Nice head unit. Sounds great.

That is pretty much my standard 'new used car' list of firsts right after fluids. But with a drive I totally get doing the HU first!

    Enjoy!

Many of the '90s trucks had decals instead of chrome badges. I can't personally vouch for either of them, but I've seen a bunch of people mention @CBoy808 or https://www.jamesdeancreations.com as good sources for decals. There's a bunch of stuff on eBay, too.
