Removing Clear Edge Guards

I need to remove the clear edge guards and door handle guards because they're black on the edges from mold and it looks awful. I've tried everything to clean them to no avail. I'm thinking heat, patience, and perhaps some Goo-Gone will do the trick. Anyone removed them and found an easier way to do it?

 

On the mold/mildew try 3 parts water mixed with 1 part Clorox. Brush with an old tooth brush.

 

Shouldn’t need any goo gone. Just heat and patience peeling off
