I just purchased a set of 6x9 speaker adapters and wires for my '09 AC. It has only the front door speakers and the tweeters. What would be a good choice for a new pair of 6x9s with the proper ohmage? TIA Cheers, Dave

Checkout Crutchfield and browse their selection on what fits your truck and what you want to put in.

Had to look twice; They're $220 up here! You're happy with yours? Do you have the stock head unit? TIA Cheers, Dave

Last time I looked at Crutchfield those were at $150 USD, not Canadian.........

In truth, I have not installed these units. Although, my conversations with Crutchfield Online Assist, indicate these will work well with the OEM HU.

I plan on replacing the front and rear speakers in my Access Cab this coming Spring, along with selected areas of sound deadening. Then later, as budget allows, I will change the HU.

I have had Pioneer speakers in previous rides, I have always been pleased with the results vs spend. I won't pretend these are the best speakers, but they are good units.

My ultimate sound solution will be the following. Please note, this list fits my needs and budget. It does not represent the "BEST".
    Front Speaker: Pioneer TS-A692C
    Rear Speaker: Kenwood KFC-1796PS
Head Unit: Kenwood DNR476S or DMX706S

Yup, I get the budget thing. Thanks for the info. I don't have the rear speakers, so this will do for now. Cheers, Dave

There are plenty of options to choose from. Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, Infinity (my choice), Pioneer, etc. are all popular choices. ANY of them will be an improvement over the stock speakers. If you decide to purchase from Crutchfield, they will give you the adapters and wire harnesses for free. Too bad you already purchased those things.
