Absolutely. I had a nice cut off with them but they felt under powered. And the light was not very full if that makes sense. I think this summer I am going to tear apart my OE housings, black them out and upgrade to the RX350 projector and go with Morimoto 55W HID's.

Can't go wrong with the RX-350 upgrade, I love mine. I would stick with 35W ballasts though. You'll just shorten the life of your HIDs with 55W.

Believe me... I love Diode dynamics stuff. I Have ss3 yellow fogs along with turn signals, indicators, reverse, license plate, dome light, map lights from them lol. Unfortunately LED drop ins are not the answer to better forward lighting.

You also need to take into consideration that drop in LED bulbs cannot legally be used in the headlight Assemblies in the USA. Though not enforced. Diode dynamics Website says that they have suspended all sales of led drop in headlight bulbs due to Federal regulations. They are only able to sell "fog light drop ins" in the USA but international customers can still "use them"

Thanks for the info. Reliability is important so I shall do that. I also surmise the output difference would be fairly minimal anyways.

I would agree, I've never used 55W ballasts so I don't have first hand knowledge. But, while researching my retrofit, the consensus was to stay away from 55W as their pros don't outweigh the shorten life con. The RX-350 with a clear lens will give you a lot of light even in a 35W set up.
