Showed up after almost 3 months, couldn’t justify spending $400 on a CAI when the truck comes with one already.. added an AFE dry drop in. Definitely prettyed up the underhood with an oem feel. Also included shiny hose for the little valve and pressure sensor, and pressure sensor relocate mount. Everything is of excellent quality..

Got a pair of 1.5 watt solar panels today, going to stick them on the windshield and wire them down to the battery to keep my system topped up while the truck is parked. They are smaller than sun visors, so they should fit in the top part of the windshield where the visors are when flipped down.

I'll be interested to see how that works out. I find that I already have trouble seeing street lights even with the seat bottomed out.

They are pretty small panels, about as wide as a ice breakers mint container, But I will put them up tomorrow and get some pictures to show how they look installed.

Test fitted some snow chains for the “new” tire size. Tires have actually been on since 2020 Q1, but I’m barely getting chains for them since I didn’t really do much Winter/snow wheeling during the Ronapocalypse. It looks like these fit the wider 33’s okay. Gotta do a bit more adjustments to get them fitting tighter, but they wrap around nicely.

Also, I went ahead and got a new cabin air filter at the O’Reilly Auto Parts to change out the dirty one. I normally go to Walmart for this, but this one’s Made In USA. I’ll give it a shot.

agreed, and don’t try to church it up with red or blue accents either. I made this mistake and now I’m deleting red. Goddam it.

Is that all? I though my truck was missing a couple of cylinders. Some real tire shredding HP and TQ there.

It’s really not that bad just time consuming. The biggest pain in the ass for me was reinstalling the plastic clips that keep the harness from rubbing on the tail gate and bed’s bare metal. I was happy I did it at ~275 miles on the ODO because everything was nice and clean underneath. Check out a few YouTube videos and shoot me a PM if you get stuck.

I see that reinstalling the double loom clips are definitely a common theme. A complete PITA. But the rest of the install is easy. Just a lot of wire looms to zip tie is all but overall, the install was easy and SO worth it. I love having the tailgate lock when I lock the truck with the VOB. I don’t have to worry about it later trying to remember if I locked the tailgate or not when I was doing it manually with the key. I was always wondering or second guessing myself whether it was locked or not. This is still one of my favorite mods that I’ve done on my truck. Just a shame Toyota doesn’t include that with the truck when you buy it.

Got a few more things done today. No more exterior chrome!
    • Color match bumper covers
    • TRD Wheels mounted
    • SS3 Sport fogs installed
    • Interior LED upgrade from DD
The bumper covers were a bit trickier than expected. I had a difficult time getting the top bumper cover off to get the new caps on. Couple of bloody knuckles but I got them in eventually. The metal clips were a bitch too

For the SS3s I removed the fog light bezel and did everything else under the hood without removing the inner fender liner. Went pretty smooth except I broke a tab on one of the bezels. No biggie it’s still solid. I still need to aim them but I’m having a hard time coming up with a flat 25’ area with a backing.

Not the greatest pics but I’ll take some better ones soon

Full wash and detail on the truck, the got around to installing the @Baja Designs SAE fogs. Need to aim and level them once I've finished the headlight upgrade but man are they bright!

nice! I really like my struts. The extra opening is helpful, but I can see it being a pain for shorter ppl.

what size wheel/tire combo are you?

The lift is in! Will probably update tomorrow with a better photo lol. This is the Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell Pro stage 1 kit. I got the springs powder coated black cause I just couldn't do the neon green with the cav blue. Next up: an alignment next Wednesday and a CMC in the near future. Seems like the lift eliminated all the rubbing I was experiencing though.

I'd like to figure this out as well. My '19 pro wont engage the diff either. at a stand still I hit the button, light flashes and then goes out. The diff won't lock. I'll try the rolling idea. I tried locking the diff in 2wd, 4hi and 4lo, tcs off, etc. nothing.
