Hello everyone, I am in the process of buying a 2022 Tacoma Limited with the nightshade package. It will start being built on Jan.12th 2022 and the dealership says I should have it by Feb.15th 2022.I wanted to see if anyone in this forum knows the difference between the Nightshade grille color compared to the TRD PRO Grille color? The reason this is even a thought to me is because I wanted to get the TRD Lift Kit but I’m seeing that the night shade grille would be replaced by the TRD PRO grille and I’m not sure I would want to do that if the TRD PRO grille color is not similar to the NightShade Grille color. I know I can go get a lift elsewhere but I want to keep everything with Toyota Genuine parts so I can get the warranty. If anyone can help me with the comparisons that would begreatly appreciated .

Hello, that was really tough to read. Maybe it was the text. Actually very possibly. Maybe next time just leave the normal text so everyone’s eyes don’t bleed out when they are trying to read it. Thanks, and welcome to the forum

I’ve been looking online to find side by side pictures to see bc I would like the nightshade grille. I like it but to answer your question, idk for sure. Just read that nightshade was black.

Yup same here, can’t seem to find any side by side pictures.Doesn’t help that I won’t see my truck till Mid Feb. I do however like the Toyota lettering from the TRD PRO grille, just hoping that the color stays somewhat similar

So I made a side by side picture off Toyota’s professionally edited pictures online. The nightshade looks more like a shiny black and the pro grill look like a flat black.

    Nightshade grill is dark chrome.

Pro grill is more of a satin to matte black.

The nightshade grill matches the nightshade wheels.
(If that might affect your thinking)

That also crossed my mind, but then I’m left with the decision to get the lift kit at a non Toyota shop if I stay with the Nightshade grille It’s been on my mind on how to move forward.

If you get the TRD lift, just tell them not to install the Pro grille.

    Bingo…

the TRD lift also comes with fog light covers which, if you’d like to retain your fog light, you can also tell the dealer not to install as I did.

You should have no problem selling a pro replica grill on here.

    Welcome!

Yes, and some people are allergic to them. Toyota recommends not licking the Nightshade editions…
You’re welcome. As someone stated, have the dealer not swap the grill, either have them take the difference off the package. Or sell the Pro grill yourself.

I don’t care for the Pro grill since it seems like everyone and their brother has one. The Nightshade is sharper looking.
