New to Tacomas but not Toyotas

    Hello all!

    Long-time lurker but new account user here. My name is Alex, I'm from CT,USA and I just got my 2022 Tacoma TRDOR DCSB 4X4 in Lunar Rock yesterday after a brief 1.5 month wait after putting a deposit on it 3 days before it was to be built. I just finished my Bachelors in Manufacturing Engineering this month and with a job lined up (with a decent commute each way), I figured it would be the right time to go ahead with it. I am new to the Tacomas but come from a Toyota loyalist family.

    I purchased the Tacoma up in New Hampshire but unfortunately since we have to drive through Massachusetts, the dealer would not let us drive it home on NH temp tags because MA does not recognize NH temp tags so I have to wait until Monday for them to deliver it 125 miles to Hartford, CT.

    I daily drove a 1991 Toyota Cressida that I ultimately offloaded to get into my father's 07 Tundra double cab 4.7L we have owned since new. That was traded in yesterday at a light 88,700 original miles. That trucks reliability (only ever got brakes and new oil) made me want to get into a taco.

    My pride and joy is my imported right-hand drive 1993 Toyota Mark II Tourer V with a factory 1JZ-GTE twin turbo I6 paired with a 5 speed manual R154 transmission (which I may end up using the Tacoma to trailer to track days) so it's safe to say I'm hooked on Toyotas.

    Super excited to join this community. I will leave some photos below of the new Tacoma, our 1 owner Tundra and my Mark II!
