    It started out as a Christmas song thread that I started in "Off-Topic" if I remember correctly; The other thread was started in "music". The Christmas music thread proved more popular than the "Misunderstood Lyrics" thread, so I had them merged into one, in the appropriate forum where it would get more traffic... :)

    1980's "Let my love open the door" by Pete Townshend.

    What he sang was "let my love open the door..."

    What my 10 year old ear heard on my FM clock radio was ""let Milo open the door..."

    I just assumed Milo was a polite guy. :D

    I don't know which is worse Wonderful Christmas Time by Paul McCartney or Jose Feliciano's Feliz Navidad.
    I've always liked the Beatles, but that song is so cheesy. I can picture John Lennon looking at Paul and saying "Really"?
    The other song is just annoying. Give me anything by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Bruce Springsteen and Billy Squier.
    I always thought Ann Wilson (Heart) could make a great Christmas album.
