After several searches I'm still not sure about this. In my manual it says I need to initialize the tire pressure warning system after I rotate my tires. From what I'm gathering, this just sets the pressure at which the warning will alarm you. If that is the case, why is it needed when just rotating with no change in tire or pressure? Does it need this to tell which tire is where? Sorry for the noob question but I tried to search and read the manual. Thank you.

Yes, it needs to figure out which tire is where after you rotate them, so it can accurately tell you if one of your tires is losing pressure and which one.

That's Steven Welch, who I bought my truck from. That video is one reason I'm making this post. He never says anything about the tire rotation, just the pressure setting.

Just hold the button and reset it. Then when you drive it automatically knows which wheel is which after rotation. The pressure is automatic without touching that button. It's in your owners manual under rotation. The only way that light will come on is if you are low on pressure and once you correct pressure and drive the light goes out on its own unless you have a bad sensor and that's another story. I didn't even watch the video when I posted it. Just watched it now after your reply. That guy is a moron and just solidifies my Avatar.
