Info or data? Opinion? That is funny. Name one single law that has never been broken.

You said, "Making things illegal has never once led to those things not happening."

If one person, on one single occasion, doesn't do something because it's illegal, that's one time that it's led to that thing not happening.

For years I walked my dogs on some trails through these nice woods that were inside the city limits of a large city. The trails could not be seen by passing traffic. Very few people knew about the place. It was quite nice. But then the trails were placed on Google Maps and the mountain bikers found the place. Those woods are trashed now with many trails created with lots of erosion.

Simple. Let him drive on the lava fields. With a bit of karma, he may break thru to discover a hot spa, then be removed from the gene pool.

A huge reason I never tell anyone about my local trails. Yeah it would be nice to see more people get outside but 99% chance they'll ruin it.

Winner! Some people only understand painful consequences. Others are mystified that anything they do should result in painful consequences.

Around here we have 2500 miles of trails limited to 50 inches wide... so the adrenaline junkies and small penis types that have to have 30K turbo side by sides can't access the trails. Most of the 50 inch SBS is driven by people beyond the age of destroying stuff for fun.

But it is a sad fact that every time we find some kind of beautiful, relatively pristine place on our hikes in the foothills, a year or two later some buttwipe in a 4X4 something-or-other has found it and torn it up. Between that and the piles of trash (local free landfill) and dumped deer/elk/goose carcasses it is pretty apparent that the people around here have no respect at all for the beautiful place they live.

Yup. The 50th percentile is exactly average on an intelligence scale. The people we’re talking about are -1SD and -2SD plus maladaptive features. These are the pudwackers, the ones who will run into your truck, crash on something stupid and cause a SAR team to put themselves at risk to go get them, and ultimately to get areas closed due to their rampant dumassery. They’re out there and they multiply.

And stay the fuck out of Montana.

In all seriousness tho, it's overpopulation. The whole world will be like India in no time. I watched a video on the amount of trash NYC produces in one day and that's really all you need to know

We will kill ourselves, and the earth. It's most likely already happened once.

Still unsure what this has to do with 3rd gens tho...

I’m always amazed at how eager some people are to poop on the communal food dish.

This happens everywhere though. Here, If a trash can is full, then people continue to elaborately jenga more trash onto it. Usually they make a noise like “uch, that was so hard” And when that doesn’t work, they start a stack next to it. Thinking they’ve done their job and the next person hasn’t. But really they could just take the trash they brought with them, and dispose of it where it should/can go. People really need to get hit in the back of the head more often.

As an industrial user of the BC forests I'm appalled at what recreational users can get away with.

All our access trails must be permitted, we cannot go near a fish bearing stream without building an engineered crossing. No fording of creeks unless classified as non fish bearing. Riparian setbacks from water bodies. Grade control, controled run off for erosion control and sediment traps.....

As usual, the few ruin it for the many. It's all about money or the latest viral video and the hell with the effects of your actions. The oil patch is a prime example. Once a well is dead, they abandon it and leave it for someone else to clean up. AKA the tax payer.
