Vacant 14mm bolt on exhaust side of left bank cylinder head

    I am curious what the vacant 14mm bolt on the front of the exhaust side of left bank cylinder head is. Hole to the right is the cylinder 2 exhaust manifold, right under drivebelt tensioner bolt hole. Is it just there for optional accessories?

    Yes
    That would be your coolant drain for the block. There should be a similar one on the passenger side too. If you're doing a coolant flush and fill, drain your block too by using those two bolts. The drain hole is about 1/2" below that bolt. You can see it just below your red circle. Hope that helps!

    No, that is NOT the coolant drain.
    That is for the VVT filter.
