As many here may know I have been collecting parts and pieces to perform the Crash&Burn Headlight mod on my 12 Prerunner. All is good in that regard and I for the most part am just waiting on the time and weather to cooperate to perform the install.

All Things considered, I have everything needed part for part that Ryland recommends for the main Hi/Low driving lights. But here is where I'm considering going a bit outside of his recommended lines if you will.

What I am referring to is my considering what may be available for the DRL's and side marker lighting locations. From everything I have found so far, I really like the white/Amber switchback offerings from GTR Lighting they call their I-LED ULTRA.

So before I move forward, I wanted to ask you guys if anyone here has the I-LED Ultras or maybe you can make other recommendations for these locations.

    Many thanks, Pearson :santa:

I have used GTR lighting in two of my vehicles. I get the kits from Headlight Revolution. That way if I have any issues with bulbs, its easier to track rhe warranty and get a replacement

Sounds like a pretty good idea, looks like their pricing is fixed no matter what vendor you choose so why not a well-established one like HR.

We came up from the south Texas last night and ran by a taco that had the most full and rich Amber DRLs i’ve ever seen. It was going by in the other lane so I didn’t get the opportunity to ask. But I wondered if it was the ultra that I’m considering in the switchback placement with amber color.

i’ve got everything needed to do the crash&burn headlight mod for Halogen light bulb to be brought to their full potential. But I’m pretty sure I’m going to do something different for the DRL’s. There’s just too much new cool LED technology going on to ignore the potential improvement.

so white bulbs do you run and watch your experience? The one I’m looking at I think it’s called the I- ultra. It comes in red, Amber, white, and switchback white ember specifically intended to be used as a DRL’s.
