Christmas Day brings much joy to many, but it also tends to bring lots of hilarity. Whether it’s your kids unexpectedly loving a $5 gift the most while they toss the big expensive number to the side, or your drunk uncle Frank telling inappropriate jokes (again), or family drama generally bubbling up to the surface at the perfect time, there is much to cherish. So tell your best Christmas Day stories of today and years past.

My story is simple. The kids woke us up at 430. We’re wrecked.

I’ll start: one of my wife’s biggest pet peeves is that I clink the bowl too much with the spoon when I eat cereal, this drives her insane.

So in my stocking I found an oversized silicone spoon. Like a giant baby spoon. I’m under strict orders to eat cereal with this spoon and no other spoon.

My family was opening presents & had a big empty box in the middle of the room to toss wrapping paper in. Someone put my niece, who was probably around 2 at the time, in the box too. She sat there the whole time while we continued to un-rap presents & toss balled up wrapping paper in with her - didn't mind at all.
She's 19 now... But I remember it like it was yesterday.

I really thought this was going to end with a misplaced toy or person.

Wife wasn’t too thrilled with her gift yesterday. I got her a mechanic’s creeper so she wouldn’t have to lay on the ground when she greases my truck. For our upcoming anniversary I was going to get her an impact wrench and floor jack to to make tire rotations easier but now I’m rethinking that idea.

Sounds like you picked out the wrong color on the creeper upholstery. Buying for women is always a challenge.

Tell me about it. My first wife said “You made no effort to get to know my family “ I replied “That’s not true, how about the time I took your sister to Vegas for the weekend”.

Some people just can’t recognize generosity.
