Just bought these KO2 all terrain tires for my 2WD PreRunner and dang they are amazing in snow! Last year I had just the regular tires that came with the truck and this truck was useless in the snow. Got stuck so many times. Bought these a Few weeks ago and we got a snow storm the last few days and finally got to see how these tires did. They exceeded my expectation to the best that a 2WD truck can do in the snow. Handled really well, you do slip a little when doing a sharp turn but it regains traction really fast. I Would definitely recommend these if you are 2WD. I went in about 6 inches of snow without a problem. Even Being at a complete stop and taking off was no problem. Went up hills and was good. However, it is obviously not a 4WD so I did get stuck once when the back tires were in pretty deep when I stopped in a big open parking lot that no one drove threw yet but just put in reverse, repositioned and got out no problem. Definitely can’t wait to get a 4WD Tacoma in a couple years but for now these tires make it more fun!

If you get good at driving in snow in 2WD then would you really need 4WD?

as much as these tires help there are still limits with this 2WD. I’m sure more snow and steeper hills will create issues for me but at the snow level right now it seemed to hold up pretty well! I think 4WD will make driving just even better
