Searched for leaking cab threads but didn’t come across anything specific to my scenario.

Has anyone experienced water coming through their top control panel? I suspect that it’s from my windshield, as it was replaced several months ago, but we’ve had rain since then without issue. I was parked on a slope yesterday so maybe the water found a different way in…

Just wanna check before calling the window repair place. If they don’t offer to reseal, should I apply silicone to the exterior rim of the windshield?

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Were you parked heading downhill or uphill?
If downhill, I would investigate the 3rd brake light issue.
    Sunroof?
    Roof rack?

Parked downhill, I did see a thread about the brake light. Didn't realize that it would be able to make it to the front of the cab though. The water only started coming through when I was driving level and taking turns. Depending on the turn it would come out of one of the two bottom corners of the panel.

    No sunroof or roof rack.

If not third brake light the two rubber strips on the roof do cover a couple spots water can get it. The holes are there to mount a roof rack. They are just covered with a kind of tape. Sometimes that comes off.

There is a recall or service campaign for the 3rd brake light.

It hasn't been an issue in recent storms, probably because my truck wasn't parked down hill this time. Did they confirm that a the third brake light could make it all the way to the control panel?

I don’t know yet. But mines leaking all of a sudden. Yes, I have replaced my wind shield but it’s been a year or so. Didn’t start leaking until just recently (Last few weeks)

    I live in the PNW.

^Just go to a coin op car wash and blast areas where you think water may be coming in.

You can also pull down the roof console and take a look. There are no bolts, just clips.

Split cost with local Toyota dealership / Toyota Corp / and myself - had new sunroof track installed. Hasn’t leaked since.

From the looks of it you will need to replace the panel and headliner. If no sunroof or roof rack .sounds like it’s coming from the windshield .

    All stock.
I had this issue. I discovered it two months after buying the truck while leaving my trade school. The rain was torrential and when I hopped in the truck its like i was still outside, water pouring into my lap from the crawl controls. I drove to a covered spot and popped out the crawl controls and saw like a 1/2" gap in the windshield adhesive seal. Ridiculous. Luckily i was in the right place and borrowed a heat gun to dry it out and then used the eraser end of a pencil to mash duct seal into the gap. That was in 2019 and it hasn't leaked since. I honestly forgot about it until now.
