I press the A/C button in and the air flow is fine, but it is not cooling. The light is flashing on the A/C button. Could this be that is it low on A/C coolant or maybe a fuse is blown? What should I do to troubleshoot to see if I can fix this myself?

The A/C light flashes when the A/C Amplifier does not detect the correct speed signal from the Compressor Lock Sensor when it engages the clutch.
The first step would be to see if the compressor clutch engages momentarily when the button is pressed.
If it doesn't you need to check for power at the compressor clutch.
