Has anyone installed the lower Cali Raised light bar brackets and also retained the air deflectors via trimming them? Looking for pics to get an idea of where to trim them to I can do it decent the first time…

I did but have no pictures. I’m pretty sure I just cut out a rectangle for the light bar

You dont have to cut or trim anything. It all goes back together just fine.

You sure? Because even the install instructions say to either leave them out or trim them to fit

You may be thinking about a different light bar bracket. It definitely doesn’t go back together just fine.

Positive. I have the hidden light bar brackets and put those air deflectors right back in, no cutting.

No, i dont have pics. But trust me, if youre talking about the hidden light bar brackets for a 3rd gen tacoma, you dont need to cut anything. Just patience finding the proper way to feed them back in.

No, after installing my sso bumper, those brackets no longer work, so mu lights are behind the frill now. Sorry.

But i wouldnt fuck you guys around. I personally want to keep as much of the stock parts in my truck as i can when i can help it. I was surprised how easily those deflectors fit after putting in the light bar brackets. No cutting.

Anyone wants to buy my used hidden light bar brackets, make me an offer. I now have the caliraised behind the grill bracket. Had to relocate the bar. And even the instillation instructions for that bracket say just completely remove those wind deflectors, i didnt need to, they just stayed put and i added the new bracket.

I’m convinced they don’t fit. Will have to take pics and show you the specific setup. I hope I’m just an idiot! Merry Christmas.

I know with the Diode Dynamics brackets you don’t need to trim those plastic pieces. Not sure they’re the same as the caliraised but they’re at least very similar.
