I see that the brakes and clutch share the same resivore, my question is if the fluid is low and the brake pads are good no leaks will there be any affect on the clutch?

If it is low, you should add some fluid so that it doesn't suck air.

Unlike the brakes, as the clutch wears, fluid will be added to the reservoir as the fork will move closer to the flywheel.

When I swap brake pads / shoes, I crack the bleeder as I push the pistons back in. This gets the most used up fluid out of the system, not push it back up into the reservoir.

I'm not sure if any of that answered your question?
