    Hey all.

Big GoPro fan here. I did some searching on here and it seems that their is some GoPro talk in some thread, but no place to talk about what ever, share stories, and BS about some cool things we can do with these cameras.

I have owned the Hero3+ Black, Hero5 Black, Hero7 Black, and just purchased the Hero10 Black last week.

I'd like to use this thread to discuss photo/video settings, gear, mounts, tips and tricks, anything to help new and existing GoPro fans out there.

Here are some photos that I have taken in the past...

    Thank you.

Just a small portion. Have a lot more content. My job is a field service engineer working on industrial and utility boilers. It has sent me all over the place.

Some awesome stuff man. Digging the anemone tank.

How do you like the 10 so far? I have a 7 black and may consider upgrading if they’ve fixed the freezing issues they had on the 9.

Thank you, I still have the tank but had to relocate it to my basement when my daughter was born.

I haven't had a chance to explore with the 10 all that much, but going from the 7 to the 10, its really impressive. I haven't had any freezing issues and don't think I will as this camera has the new GP2 processor in it. I mostly have been working on getting all my old media uploaded to the cloud now that the subscription comes with the camera. I never had this service previous to all the other models.

Nice reef tank! And nice YouTube content!

I picked up a Hero 10 a couple weeks ago and I've been geeking out on it! My focus has been on the Time Lapse and the various settings used to optimize the final product. The tutorials I have found are helpful, but I have a ways to go yet.

Yes !!! So Cool. Here is a time lapse I did a few years back....

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9vKLk-nDEc

In a couple of weeks I am traveling to Arizona to visit family. We are taking the kids on a trip to do some stargazing in the middle of no where. I hope to get some attempts and some night lapse vidoes and photos. Stay tuned.

Side note. When I get to Arizona here in a couple of weeks, we will be spending a couple days in Sedona. We are doing the pink jeep tour. I asked my girlfriends dad to make me a custom ring box for when I ask the question. It will nicely tuck a gopro inside. He installed a push button on the back so that the camera can turn on and off without removing it....

Picked up a couple of items over the holidays as well...

I love the light, so small and very bright. Will be nice for attaching to my hard hat when working on boilers.

Will be attaching this to my Prinsu when I get it installed.

Glad I found this thread. I got a 9 black for Christmas last year, got some accessories for it for Christmas this year and I just started to play with it. I know, a whole year? Well life gets in the way sometimes. But I'm playing with it now. I just got the small light for it and the mic media mod. I've got a lot to learn about it but it's pretty cool!

Well I got the camera last Christmas, was stoked but I never even got the time to open it. I did order a 3 battery kit with a charger for it though.
And this is what I got from my girl for Christmas this year.
    Really nice hard case.
    20211227_125937.jpg
And an accessory pack that has just about every mount imaginable, head mount, chest mount etc etc....
    20211227_130044.jpg
I had a really nice tri pod from my old camera that I really like and I found a mount for it in the kit.
    20211230_134704.jpg
The camera looks tiny on it, lol.
    20211230_134300.jpg
So then I ordered a mic mod and a light mod for it with some gift cards.
    20211230_135111.jpg
Install was easy peasy, just removed the battery door and replaced it with the mic mod frame.
    20211230_140508.jpg
I like the size of it. And reviews I saw and heard on YouTube seemed favorable, better sound than just the stock camera mic.
    20211230_141123.jpg
The light is tiny, but bright and it has multiple brightness settings and a diffuser. I like that it just charges with a USB c cord like the camera and the extra batteries I purchased.
    20211230_152834.jpg
Still a pretty compact setup when the light and mic is needed.

Nice setup you got there. Get out and use that camera. It'll take you on adventures you never thought. When I have a chance, I'll bust out some of my accessories and setups, including my totally sweet Thule GoPro bag.

does gopro still replace a broken camera caused by any reason? I have a gopro+ subscription and would like to upgrade. I think it costs a hundred bucks or so. Has anyone do this?

Believe that if you have a subscription, they will honor a no questions asked replacement. For an upgrade however, I am not quite sure.

Added the mount to the Prinsu rack. I’m too scared to mount the new hero10, so the older hero7 will do.
