Another Newbie Here

Hi All,
I'm a semi retired sixty-something guy with an '02, four-door Tacoma TRD that I bought with 167k miles on it in 2017. The truck's still got the original frame because the original owner had it oil undercoated each fall. Sadly, the second owner and I did not continue with that and living in snow country has created some rust issues, but the frame is still good as far as I can tell.

I also had my mechanic inspect the frame before agreeing to buy the truck and although the spare tire carrier was rusted out he said the frame was the best he'd seen on a Taco of that vintage. I had him replace the water pump and timing belt before driving the truck home and it's been great until recently, when a couple of issues have arisen that I want to try to take care of myself. More on that to come in a new thread in the correct forum.

I'm glad this place is here and am looking forward to getting my old Tacoma back into decent shape to keep me going at least until Elon gets my Cyber truck built.
