    Busy day, finished getting leaves up, let the kids play for a minute. Cleaned gutters, repaired a broken shingle, painted the store door and installed the new screen door, painted the out building doors, took Cole hunting and didn’t see anything, waiting to close the store and eat with the in-laws.

    I bought this place 28 years ago, the roof came with the house. About 20 years ago the shingles started crumbling so I painted them with silver roof coat like is used on mobile homes.

    It seemed to freeze the shingles in time, they quit crumbling. It gets gray looking every few years and I put another coat on. Whatever roof gets put on eventually will outlast me.
