Got a pretty gnarly flat and needed to get a whole new tire. I believe my other three tires are around 6/32 with about 20k miles on them and the new one starts at 13/32 or so. My question is, would it make sense to get all new tires, two new ones or just change the one. The tread seems to still look fairly decent on the other three, however didn’t know if it could cause a future issue… (2019 Tacoma 4x4)

uneven tread depth could damage the 4x4 when used in the long run, but if you keep it in 2wd you'll be fine. you could get away with just one new tire. 2 might be better so your tire rotations are a little more even. tires are recommended to be replaced at 4/32 so you're not far off. I personally would just do all 4, but I live in snow town and want an excuse for new tires

As someone who also lives in a climate which deals with winter, we really don't recommend going through with less than 6/32nds. 6 vs 13 is a pretty big difference. Personally, if they can't patch the old tire I'd just replace all 4. Buy once, cry once.

Where do you drive and what kind of tires? At that level I'd never replace just one. Only way that should ever happen is an issue with a like new tire. Yours are borderline for certain areas and climates.
