    Hi all -

I'm looking for dealers in the PNW that sell Tacomas with lifts and wheels. Preferably 3rd Gen. Are there specific dealerships or independents that perform or resell these mods more than others? If so I'd love to hear from you!

    Thanks,
    Jason

NW Motorsports is notorious for putting $300 blocks and $600 wheels on and charging ridiculous prices for it. I'd start there

Couldn't agree more, totally flooded the market with lifted trucks. Cheap lifts and tacky wheels.

Just get stock and then aftermarket what you “need” or want. Less expensive and no compromises.

    Save your money.

Les schwab partners with NW motorsports. I'd do the reverse. Buy a truck and have them put on the lift (most likely blocks and spacers). The lift is warrentied through Les Schwab after installation plus you get their great customer service. At NW motorsport you are paying the mark up and I'm assuming lifts and trucks don't come with added warrenties.

    Also:
    4 wheel parts - Lynnwood
Will throw on OME springs with billstien shocks for about 1200 (+tax). Depending on what you need/want.. They can do that too (regearing, more aggressive lifts, lockers, wheels/tires)

I stay clear of Les Schwab, and 4wheel parts.
    Support small, and local.

Yeah I agree completely. Small and local is the way to go.

Also OP... Avant off road at dirtfish is a great way to network and learn your rig if you are serious about OR/overlanding. Stock ORs are very capable.

what ever you do, dont go to larson toyota in tacoma. They throw their 4runners/tacos on some cheap spacer blocks, add some 33" Ridge grapplers or KO2s with some fuel wheels and legit jack up the price 15k+.
I was there this summer with my buddy who was buying a 4runner, i asked the sales rep if people actually pay for these with the "upgrades" -- he said they fly off the lot.

I've never understood peoples mindset when over paying like that...

I very rarely see dealers put quality gear on trucks. Often it’s the cheapest roof basket ever, nfab steps, cheap wheels, and adding like $20k extra. I recently saw someone share some dealer on a taco FB group that had really nice stuff. Front runner rack, real sliders, nice wheels / tires, slimline bumper, etc. I can’t recall the location though.

People will pay these high prices so they can roll it into their auto loans, sometimes it’s high interest and long terms, but people will do it/get sold on it because it’s “only” $50 month more or whatever.

Dealer tried to get me to add on all my stuff. Nope. Paid outright for it all. That said, Kalispell Toyota, Montana did the install on the Ironman lift I got for a decent rate. Just over $10k for the 3" Ironman foam cell stage 2, OEM audio+, 5.29's, predator steps (yea yea I know, I need the step though), tint, tonneau cover, and I got the rims/tires myself through discount then dropped them off for them to put on once they were done. Not bad considering all the work.

    Ironman $2500
    OEM Audio $1700
    5.29's $1600
    Steps $700
    Tint $300
    Tonneau $1000

Right around $7800 and the rest is labor. So far the only work left is the audio and 5.29's. The rest took 2 days, picked up on the 3rd. If I was to shop around I would have ended up making multiple 90 mile trips into town which is also expensive and multiple days without a vehicle spread out over the course of who knows how long. I am also handicapable so some of it would have taken me way too long and cost some drywall for the tools thrown for sure.

But yes, most places, not even a question of if it's worth it or not. Toyota Kalispell hooked me up pretty good considering the work and time span. Gave me a free loaner and will do the same when they do gears and audio. Not even going to go into how much the wheels and tires were... my gawd...

I did the math though, adding all that in would have made my payment insane over $800 a month lol. Who tf can afford that crap? They also wanted me over 2% more than the credit union I waved in their face, for an extra 2 more years! Hell naw. 5 years is enough! I have a hard enough time believing anyone single can afford to pay rent in this place let alone on top of a vehicle payment. Feel bad for the kids really... anyways, they are not all bad but they are certainly all stealerships. Food for thought. Just make friends with the accessories and service guys ;)
