I would have zero "real" complaints if it weren't for the stupid gear hunting on road trips.

Same here.. I was counting the shifts at one point with cruise control on and no cars in front of me and I counted 4 shifts in less than 10 seconds. There's no excuse for that.

Daily drove my ‘03 for over 200,000 miles & loved it until it was totaled last August. With this 2018, I’m hoping to put another 200,000 on it. I’ve owned Toyota trucks for many years & gotta say, I wouldn’t drive anything else. Always been very happy with these trucks!

Mine hauls the kids to school and daycare every day, and gets me to work. What I love is only needing one vehicle to do that AND be able to go just about anywhere at any time. I ended up selling my quad because I find I can take my taco to the places I thought were quad access only.

21 SR5 DC 4WD. Great DD. Its a truck. I still get better MPG than my wife's Lexus rx350. 60 miles commute a day. All around great vehicle.

No real need to justify a vehicle choice. This is my 4th Tacoma. It is my workhorse, my money maker but I prefer the RX350 for comfort. Shoot me. The Tacoma goes where I may need 4wd or where I need the utility or I don’t care as much about potential damage from industrial fallout etc.
It’s a good truck, I hope the next generation is a step up in comfort.

and to add a thought...my 14 yr old daughter, when given the choice...picks the Tacoma when we go somewhere as a family.

I like driving mine. I feel good in it. I feel like I'm in a capable vehicle that will get me where I'm going and then some.

I DD mine and if I could only have one vehicle, I would keep my Tacoma. I have other cars that are better at this or that, and the Tacoma can do anything. It’s like the Swiss Army Knife of vehicles. :D

I bought my 2017 Sport with the intention of daily driving it. The only thing I would change is, I shouldn't have bought my Corolla and should have bought a first gen Tacoma. Oh well, I have a Tacoma now and love it.

Great to see you all enjoy daily driving your tacomas. I used to have an 05 as a daily driver and it was great. A few trucks later here I am in my 15 tundra and using it as a daily driver. It is a nice comfortable ride, but overkill especially when I’m alone 95% of the time in it. Oh and the 14 mpg gets old quick 300 miles to the tank that’s it. I do 50 miles a day round trip. I have contemplated getting another Tacoma….
