I had the same experience when I was doing donuts and ended up rolling backwards in drive when it shifted into 3rd. My guess is it gets confused and just failsafes. Never happened again tho.

Or driver talent runs out which is pretty frequently.

At least with manual there is some talent required, auto? A monkey can press pedal and ride the D.

For some, this is true. For you, who clutch drops at 6k and speeds over an obstacle, not so much.

Exhibit A, where your “talent” caused you to almost roll truck and then resulted in “take a cool pic, bro!”.

Leave that auto in D when snow wheeling, and just wait for the trans temp over heat dash light, then many many more dash lights. As once you reach the temp to trigger the temp over lights, you have toasted many things.

Sure auto is easy for day to day, but you have to know your truck to start really using it.

Argument isn’t auto versus manual but that the second gen is the best gen….

No doubt. The older folks love them. My grandpa says they're the bees knees. Senior seal of approval.

You kids with your fancy tech. I will say though, I got Bluetooth in my second gen now so I’m catching up. Mind you I did loose radio because of a tree mod.

Yeah, must be nice driving from gas station to gas station and carrying extra 80L of gas because of “2nd gen best gen”.

The important thing is that a disconnected license plate bulb won’t send it into limp mode. Can also drive it home with a blown front diff and blown up steering rack.

by the way how are your bumpers coming along :)

Might actually be trading in on a manual sport premium. Theyll take my truck, keep the same payment, and I’ll get an upgrade. 50k Km on mine already so maybe I’ll do that.

Sounds like dealer-speak to me. What’s in it for them? (What’s the catch?)
How many years are you into payments already?

Buuuut, you can’t spell manual without MAN. do it.

I work(ed) for the dealer. They're just really desperate for used cars and my manager is doing me a solid. Only 10 months in, lol.
