Within the next 2-3 months? Zero bandwidth predicted. After that, not sure, but for now I'm completely under water.

Haha, no worries Dave. Anyway to keep it in the back of your mind until things lighten up for you?

Not really, no, sorry. Your best bet is getting Johnny interested I think. I'm not going to be in a good position for custom stuff for a while.

@Jeff Dartfrog, that would require tapping the 4 pin towing connector, not the passenger side light harness only. Stop & Turn (tow), TAIL and ground.

For the tailgate light strips, yeah, tapping at the 4 pin connector provides the combined signal of turn + brake on L and R sides. It would be swell if we could T tap at the 7 pin connector but I don't believe we have located a solution for that other than perhaps a gooseneck extension cable that you could cut up and install behind the bumper?

Mostly it's some some time and research and experimentation which I don't have the bandwidth for given sales volume of my "on menu" products.

And then there's also some part of me who doesn't have a ton of affection for the tailgate strip. But at the same time, I have an exposed strip on my 2002 Tundra now due to a new bumper so I am warming to the idea of putting something there which could be useful. I think I'd prefer a L and R pair though and if I got there I'd want to do it as an integrated part of my custom tow harness.

But all of that is super back burner b/c I don't tow and I'm too busy with the stuff people have already paid for.

I use the curt one and have it tucked up out of the way. Pretty much all of the light bars have some sort of logic to sort out turn vs brake vs hazard. Only hiccup I've noticed is on door lock/unlock when parking lights flash once the light bar thinks it is brake. Hazards flash amber as expected. I have the split putco blade.

    No, that is very incorrect.:smack:
Tapping/using the signal from the towing circuit doesn't separate the TURN from the STOP.
Anytime TURN/HAZARDs is selected, you get your "hiccup".:burp:

Could you explain further? Turn and hazard always flash amber and brake is red. Or do you think the first flash is always red followed by Amber flashes?

Edit: Just confirmed that hazard and turn are Amber on all flashes. I have to assume it's a timing thing where the the long signal from locking the door is detected as brake whereas the turn and hazard signals are detected as turn and hazard as expected.

The only ones we have found male connectors for are the ECT / Auto Headlight switch. The others appear to only come in wire to board. So the most straightforward way to extend is to cut and crimp on any other connector to extend or just solder / heat shrink or use regular butt connectors since it’s inside the cab.

    I’m pretty slammed still.

Hope to get the 4Runner plug and play quad high beam harness listed this week.

After that I can see trying to figure out the 2nd Gen climate control upgrade sometime next year. I still need to get a set of controls for my ‘05.

I have two secret Santa’s I’d like to build stuff for so December is gone, especially with family and trying to retrieve my Tundra from so cal and bring her home.

So, it sort of depends but anything over an hour is probably not something I can take on in the next few months.

Just wanted to give you a shout out Dave.

The order was sent out same day.

Just got it today, plugged it in, and in business.

The wiring could not have been made easier, with the color coded plugs, and labeled wires.

Dummy plugs for the wires not used anymore, and extra body pins was a nice bonus.

    Really impressed

    Bravo sir.

Curious about feasabilitt. I bought a new rear bumper with spare tire mount, and it obscures the backup camera. I haven't yet installed the bumper, but I know I'm going to want to relocate the backup camera, likely at the top of a bed rack. Would you have the ability to fabricate something I could use to extend the camera, with a quick-disconnect about where the top of the bed would be? I suppose this would end up being a two-part camera harness extension, the first attaching wherever I cut the camera wire, and the second connection neing at the top of the bed?

A second item I'd be interested in is a wiring harness to tie-in and activate when my reverse lights are activated, for a rear-facing light bar that would be mounted on the roof rack as well.

I'm swamped so custom stuff isn't an option right now, unfortunately, can't do that to the people who have been waiting on me.

I do have some of the 6 way camera connectors and of course the 4 ways (same as my DIR) which my '16 uses so those are possible but not really able to do much with that right now as per above swampedness.

I do have an DIR w aux but I'm 3 behind on shipping those. And you could tie it to a relay if you wanted to send it to a light bar (I wouldn't run a light bar off the reverse circuit myself). Or a reverse T (I'm behind on a pair of those too).

So, yeah, sorry guys, I just can't even contemplate doing anything off menu right now, everyone has been super patient waiting for their stuff and I am scrambling to get caught up after holidays and a shop move.
