Prp initially mailed the wrong seats but they fixed it and rushed the correct ones and gave me postage to mail the other back so those came in after Christmas. And got the yard ornament moved around and ready for some tube. Also ordered a notcher and been looking at cages for ideas to help get this going. 053512D2-F448-46AE-8AE9-8CB545AAAF74.jpg5FF42C10-9749-4717-B6EB-905731035E23.jpg

Another 4 days at sand hollow for winter 4x4 jamboree. Few issues but nothing major. Inverted a rear shackle backing up into a rock and bent one of the main leafs on the 63s so need to replace that. And then my switch panel that controls my compressor and air lockers burnt up. Turns out that was my issue all along with them not locking/unlocking was a bad switch panel. We had an extra and swapped it out and wheeled some good trails.

front fenders still need cut. They still rub the tire when flexed and turned so I’ll finally chop them straight as well

Whose running a fuel cell? Getting ready to redo my bed and order an ibex fuel cell with a Gm fuel pump assembly. Looking at running all new lines to the motor. Anyone know what kind of fitting I need to plumb in new lines? I can get the gm to -6 push connect fittings and looking for the same thing on the toyota end. Motors a 3.4

Why aren't those rotomolded fuel cells more common. Way cheaper than a lot of the metal options out there

Not sure. I’ll probably skin it in aluminum. Main thing I like is the Chevy fuel pump. Easy to find at any parts store

I had a 12 gallon on a truck. It worked good. The only real complaint was that, in the summer sun and heat the fuel would gum up after a few weeks. I just started storing it empty.

That makes too much sense, why are you doing that? Instead go with some FJ70 Aussie spec fuel pump that they only made for 5yrs to keep it all Toyota...:D

Thanks. Works good to get an idea of what your links and steering need to be before you cut expensive dom

Hey man, I looked through a lot of the build but I didn't see the front frame notch height difference. How much higher did you end up going with the new square tubing? bottom of old to bottom of new?

No clue to be honest. I would say roughly the new frame is sitting on top of the old frame. Motor is raised till it touches the hood. And then I still had to notch the passenger side frame rail 1 3/4
