I buy a new car once every blue moon. In between I pay zero attention to new car interest rates. The stars and moon have aligned and a new monthly debt, err car is soon to be mine. I hear rumors of crazy low interest, but when I go looking I can't find them. I wondering what y'all got for interest rates and where you got them.

Credit based. Shop at local banks and credit unions, not dealers. Doesn't matter what any ad is offering or any one else got. It's based off your own history.

    That's remarkable!

I thought I had the lowest rate at 1.8%. (This was back in May 2021)

Still, when I saw the amortization and how much goes towards principal...I was impressed with the significant difference.

I think credit unions are alway the best bet. I just got mine for 2.4% on a 3 year old used Tacoma.
