So in the fall of 2016 I bought a Toytec Boss lift kit for my Tacoma along with tires and wheels. After about 2 years and 13,000 miles the front Passenger side shock developed a leak and within a couple of weeks all the oil leaked out. The say the ride quality is bad is a understatement, and i've been driving my truck like this for way to long. So I call Toytec and tried to order 1 replacement shock to fix the problem. Well, the original Boss lift has been discontinued for some time and this shock is no longer available. To say I'm not impressed with Toytec lifts is a understatement and would prefer to take a different route to fix my truck. I do still have the factory suspension. I want to make the truck safe as I'm gonna sell it to a neighbor once it's repaired. What would be the cheapest way to fix this and provide about 2-2 1/2 inches of front lift. Thanks.

You need to tell us details about the shocks, coil springs, upper control arms, extra weight on the truck, intended use of the truck, leaf springs, rear shocks, etc. Don't assume any of know what comprises an "Toytec Boss lift kit" especially an obsolete one. Perhaps also post a pic of the shocks you think are shot.

EDIT: are you sure your shocks aren't rebuildable? All the Boss shocks on the Toytech site appear to be.

Straight from my Toytec lifts invoice. Front shocks TTFSC-2005, 160650 Red 650 lb. coils and all included Toytec Hardware, Front swaybar relocate kit, Diff drop kit, skid plate spacers.. stock upper control arms, no extra weight on truck, no off roading, only on road use. don't plan on changing anything on rear of truck. No pics avialable of shocks, but 100% sure the passenger side front shock is dry. And i've called Toytec lifts 2 times and spoke with 2 different tech. guys there and they said the shocks i have are not rebuildable.
