Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

I used to do a lot of side welding projects, since getting married, having kids, working the store as well as the machine shop I try to say no now. Well I didn’t say no to this project for some reason.

Got to cut these Volvo style hookups off.




Got to make some caterpillar style and weld on like this.




Went by and traced it on some cardboard, got to see if my boss knows someone who can burn them out of 1 1/2” thick materiel.



My friend bought this off the internet, it has hydraulics and dumps with a subframe so he can load 18 wheelers. He said it’s a $20k bucket new. He bought it for $6,500.

 

Anybody ever watch the movie minions? We tried tonight, stopped it half way through. That’s the stupidest movie I’ve ever seen.

 

I gutted our kitchen to the studs and a friend and I redid it when my son was 1. He’ll be 10 in March and the trim is all I lack of having it done. Put all new Samsung appliances in when we redid it. Have already had to replace the microwave, oven, and we’re on our 3rd dishwasher. They don’t make em like they used too.

 

You should watch Ryan’s World on YouTube. The kid made/is making millions opening new toys up and talking about them. I’m to the point I can’t stand to hear the show now, but my son loves it.

Good morning crew
We got a feel like temperature of minus 20 this AM.
Not the worst I've seen it.
I've volunteered to go work in Monroe Michigan at the end of the month, and broken dishwasher makes me wonder what's going to break or malfunction while I'm gone. It just seems like something always does when I'm gone.

 

Last day of doe season here and I'm in my usual late season spot, which is a community stand so I bring a flashlight and come early early to flash off intruders..

On the spot ready to send it 15 mins before day break, in comes a car...I flash and flash and flash as to say, hey I beat you here, turn around. It's a flippin subaru and he comes past without even a wave.

I'm like ok this is weird. I hear car doors slamming, crunch, crunch and he's walking up to me. He introduces himself, wants to shake hands.

Some people just ain't got a clue.

 

That is crazy

My temp right now is -17, the feels like is -36.

I shoulda stayed in Florida.

 

Fargo did u take any cool pics of the Space center? Hope you felt like you got your moneys worth, I've never done the tour before.

 

Apparently I took 51 pictures that day, but not all of them will be sharing worthy.

If it’s any consolation, in the panhandle, we are supposed to have about a 50* drop over the next 24 hours, 80 at noon today to about 32 at 0600 in the morning. With a gale force wind warning just to make the wind chill interesting. I think it’s even supposed to get cold down in @Hunterdc1 and @Jtcmedic part of the state too.

 

Seen it? Shoot……think I live it. Yeah, I didn’t even rewind that one.

If only that wind would ever slow down. Only -18 but the -41WC kinda makes outside a ‘lil brisk.

We’re supposed to get 2” of snow tomorrow.

Christmas tree/decorations coming down today and going in the attic.

 

Still better than here but that's mighty cold for there! Temps like that would have sucked since getting away from the cold was the entire point of the trip!
