Thinking about lifting my 2017 sport. Has anyone used the rough country lift. I’m thinking the one with the pre loaded struts and the upper control arms.

Just my opinion but RC lifts are all lift and little to no performance. If you’re ok with lift for the sake of lift and a rough ride then by all means RC is fine. In no particular order I’d recommend, King, Icon, Old Man Emu, Fox, or Bilstein. You’re on the right path by including UCAs. Do your research for your driving style and do it right the first time.

My buddy did their 3'' lift and it caused all sorts of vibration in his 2019 trd to the point he took it back to stock and traded the truck for a nissan, but it wasn't the entire reason for getting rid of it.

I'd stick with a 2/1" Lift, and you will have sooooooooo many less suspension issues. But I'm no expert in the field.

Tons of threads on this. Are you going 6"? Cuz if not I'd go with the ironman lift for a similar setup, or even the TRD setup for a nice stock feeling ride. Depends on what you do.

Definitely need a carrier-bearing drop kit on 2" + lifts for the vibes.
I'd wait for the driver's side bearing to start making noise before you invest time and $$ in the ECGS replacement. I run 35" and the OEM bearing is still going strong after over 30K miles.

Some run that some don’t. I do with no issues. Problem free on my lift. Have some squeaky suspension but I use it like a truck

    Right on.
I just figure it's a very inexpensive modification that installs in minutes and improves driveline geometry. So why not?
But if she ain't broke don't fix it.

i have owned two of their lifts. I had the 3" front and 2" rear liked it for the price . I never had any issues with the lift. Had many compliments. Now I upgraded to the RC 6" lift with front adjustable coils, which are freaking awesome. I have the vertex adjustable shocks all around. I Have the front set at 3 or 4 for firmness and the rear shocks are set to 2 for firmness. I have put over 6 months of daily driving on the 6" and so far no issues . Offroading was great too . Forest services roads are smooth as butter now , well to me anyway. I know many people bash the RC lifts , IMO for someone that isn't a hardcore offroader that bashing in bed panels every weekend or rock bouncing their Tacoma, the RC lifts are worth it for what you pay for . Definitely holds up to some degree of weekend offroading.

Well I have some bad news fellas . After only 6 months of having the new vertex shocks my driver side rear shock must of lost a seal . I haven't really had a chance to push this new suspension. I don't count taking my family to the beach or going to elk camp pushing the limits of these new vertex's. Thank you little ole baby Jesus that I bought warranty on parts and labor through 4wp in Tacoma WA. These guys got me hooked up and a brand new shock on its way. I opted out of them installing it due to the fact I dd my truck and I'm fully capable of the install myself. Come on it's a rear shock. All I gotta say is I would be one pissed hombre if I had to buy one new shock not cheap.
