Opinion/will it fit question regarding the V-Tec Raptor Wheel

I'm looking to change out wheels and tires. I really like the V-Tec Raptor and the price is pretty good at DiscountTire, $120. Is anyone running these? I was inclined to just get the 16" option so I could buy tires first and then later the wheels, but I don't think the specs are ideal. The 17" specs seem to be closer to stock, but I'm currently running 16" stock so would have to do both wheels and tires at the same time.

I'll prob be getting either 265/75/16 or 265/70/17 tires.

16x8 6-139.7mm BP - 0mm OS - 4.45 BS - 110 Hub Bore

Option 1 has the best specs. Just makes sure someone else has these and that they don't rub the calipers.

 

That would work better so I can stagger the purchase. I guess I thought the 17" would be better because the 25 offset is closer to the 30 offset on the stock offroad wheels.

That only matters if they are the same width. Backspacing is what you should be looking at.

With the 4.5" backspacing, you can fit your 265s, or you can go up to 33's someday if you get a lift. With the 5.5" backspacing you are limiting your tire options.

 

I really like these wheels too...can't beat the price. So if I went with the 17x8 with 265/70/17 do you think I will be fine? I don't see me ever going to a bigger tire.

 

You'll be fine with the 17x8's but not the 17x9's.

 

The 16" versions are even $10 cheaper.

I just haven't heard anyone else running them. I saw them on a Jeep and they looked awesome.
